Cool Dad was born on the east coast of Canada as a 4-piece improvisational noise junk band. Known for their live energy and their penchant for playing unconventional venues, they began to make a name for themselves. A traumatic move to Upper Canada left them heartbroken, dumbfounded and missing two members.
Now a power duo, Cool Dad has refocused and written about the whole experience which they have released as an EP entitled Delaware. Featuring Greg on drums and Al on keys, the former rhythm section have taken the lead. Minor key melodies and dark lyrics dominate the music, but it’s upbeat as hell and makes you feel the need to dance.
Greg and Al draw their inspiration from barn burners, honky-tonks, gospel and rural French Canadian folk music.
