Ryan Bustin {a.k.a Bustin’} is a local DJ/Producer/Violinist from Saint John, NB. He discovered the art of electronic music and DJing while attending University. In 2011 he ventured onto the local scene playing at multiple venues on the famous George Street in St. John’s, NL.
Bustin’s training as a classical violinist and orchestral member provided him with an easy transition into electronic music production. In 2012 he stepped onto the music festival circuit, debuting at Future Forest Electronic Music Festival in New Brunswick. In 2013 he made a repeat appearance and was also invited to play at Evolve Music Festival 2013.
Over the past three years, Bustin’ has shared stages with both local and international musicians alike, including artists such as Grandtheft, Smalltown DJs and Kapslap. He also released his first electronic EP entitled “Diamondgrind” in September of 2013.
His fun-loving, care free attitude creates an energetic atmosphere for his audiences, and with an eclectic taste in music one can expect to hear all sorts of different kinds of music. Funky house, old swing music, heavy electro basslines, video games samples and old cartoon characters are only a few of the things one might expect over the course of the night. If you are looking to add bit of nostalgia to your evening mixed with fresh sounds, and you like to get your body movin’ and shakin’ all around then this is a set NOT to miss!!
