THE EVOLVE 4 PHOTO CONTEST
Hi everyone. As you may or may not know, I’ve been running a photo contest on the evolvefestival.com website. The deadline has now closed, and I’d like to ask you for your help. We received quite a response – about 20 entrants submitting between 1 and 100 pics each. Probably about 600-800 photos total (including those taken by the people in my party who were instructed to take pics of everything). I’ve now gone through all of those pics and chosen what i think are the good ones – the ones that I think have some merit and should be considered for the contest, and posted on the website in the photo gallery regardless. There are now 216 photos in the running. While I don’t think it’s practical (or necessary) to decide the contest democratically, I’d like your input on the photos that you like the most. I’m asking you to review all the pics and tell me in an email which are your faves (and why). I’ve assembled all the submissions here – www.evolvefestival.com/gallery – Please review them all and give me whatever feedback you have. A few notes 1. THIS GALLERY IS NOT PUBLIC YET. It will be completely reorganized before it goes live. Please do not give out the URL until I launch it – in about another 7-10 days. When you email me with your faves, please reference specific photos like this: ” AH > hula2 ” This would refer to a pic named “hula2” in the “AH” folder. The contest was set up with several different categories. Please consider this when picking favourites. They are: PHOTOS OF A PERFORMANCE BY A BAND OR DJ PHOTOS WHICH CAPTURE THE SIZE/SCOPE OF THE FESTIVAL PHOTOS OF EVOLVE PEOPLE – individual OR group PHOTOS OF EVOLVE STAFF OR VOLUNTEERS WORKING HARD PHOTOS WHICH CAPTURE THE POSITIVE VIBE OF THE FESTIVAL If you have any comments about any photos, send them to me. Or if you happen to know who a photo is of, please advise (particularly when the filename is vague about who it is) Joe, Amanda – get those prizes ready please. I’m going away for the weekend, and then trying to get this thing up next week. So PLEASE GET BACK TO ME BY SUNDAY NIGHT! By Monday morning the final decisions will have hopefully been made, by me.
