BOTNEK is a DJ/production duo with members from both Montreal and Halifax, Canada. For producers BOTMU and SNONEK, the focus is on their original material, which is a blend of tech house, rave and big bassline music.
The duo first made a name for themselves by winning a Felix Cartal (Dim Mak Records) remix contest for the track “Skeleton,” selected by Felix Cartal himself. The interest gathered from this release led to their first single “If You Wanna” to be picked up by DJ’s Jaymo and Andy George of BBC Radio 1′s “In New DJ’s We Trust” radio program. This track, along with several other originals, will comprise their forthcoming EP “Laid” due August 2010, along with a music video for the lead single of the same name.
