RPG’s (Record Playing Grant – aka wyldefingers, Grant Paley) fun loving and unique DJ style has been rocking parties and clubs for the great people of Canada with his entertaining mix of funk, house, 80′s and hip hop for over nine years. His love for good times and good people is seen through his dedication and enthusiasm for the local and national music scenes.

RPG is best known all over Canada for his work with Canada’s very own Moses Mayes, who’ve played well over 500 shows since there inception in 1999. The band won the 2001 Prairie Music Awards for Best Urban/Dance Recording, was again nominated in 2005 for the Western Canadian Music Award for Best Instrumental Album ‘Needle to the Groove’ and then won the WCMA in 2007 for Best Instrumental for their third release ‘Second Ring’. With their blistering live show and indie success albums, Moses Mayes has easily become one of Canada’s most exciting dance funkfusion collectives.

RPG is also part of the new electronic act LeBeato that features Mark Penner and Nathan Reimer. LeBeato has already toured Western Canada, performed at Shambhala 2008 and opened for Shoutoutoutout, Keys n Krates and Beast.

Further, RPG has had the pleasure of the sharing the stage with respected artists like Herbie Hancock, James Brown, Kool & the Gang, Antibalas, the Pocket Dwellers, the Salads, Kid Koala, ShoutOutOutOut, Ivana Santilli, Champion & his G-Strings and the New Deal and has appeared at such notable festivals like the Festival du Jazz du Montreal, Vancouver International Jazz Festival, 10,000 Lakes Festival and Canada’s premier jamband festival Evolve.

RPG’s djing endeavors has seen him spin at some enormous parties including Rock/Paper/Scissors, Candy Land NYE 08, Cadillac NYE, the Friday Night Movement parties, Winnipeg Jazz Festival, Field Festival 07, Festival du Voyageur and has DJ sets on CBC Radio, Bandapart, CKUW and UMFM. Dope!
