The roots of Margo, Margo can be traced back to early 2009, when four friends got together and started an acoustic instrumental project consisting of piano, guitar, bass, and cajon. That project eventually grew to become a full out 7-piece mini-orchestra, and that was when Margo, Margo! took form as a band. Influenced by some great Canadian bands such as the Arcade Fire, Wintersleep, and Broken Social Scene, they put their own spin on what they think Canadian music is all about.
Playing with the intentions of taking their audience on a musical journey of highs and lows, they come out swinging right from the start packing emotion and energy into every song.
