Jo Riddles’ musical journey began while working at Parking Night Club in Montreal, Canada where they fell in love with House Music and idolized DJs such as Peter Rauhofer, Vibe, David Morales, Danny Tenaglia with his 12 hour sets at (((STEREO))) and Victor Calderone. Currently living in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Riddles’ heart now resides in the deep sounds of Techno, though still enjoys spinning House and Nudisco. On top of reading a crowd and taking them where they need to go, the use of micro sounds to tingle your eardrums and deep base to bounce your insides are hallmarks of Riddles sets. Riddles’ favorite comment they ever received after a set: “I am stone cold sober, but your music made me feel high”.
Summer 2015 is shaping up to be a great season for Jo Riddles and festivals with their debut at Evolve, Glastonbury, and a return once again to Burning Man.
