Arsoniste (pronounced as “arson” “east”) is a synth-pop duo from Halifax, NS, consisting of Rachel Sunter (vocals, synth) and Alex Meade (guitar, synth, samplers). Inspired by artists like SIA, Radiohead, and Broken Social Scene, Arsoniste’s music combines melancholic vocals with a textural palate of synthesizer, guitar and electronic drums. The duo’s first EP “Where There Is Dark” was released in April 2015.
