Def Child (aka Harmsworth) has definitely become one of the most notorious and sought after sound selectas in Eastern Canada. He is known for his versatile style that combines the perfect mix of dark and heavy with melodic and sublime, he is no stranger to making a dance floor get busy. His current sound could best be described as a blend of Purple Dub-step, spaced out Trap and a variety of smooth Bass Music.
He has played shows all over Eastern Canada and the United States, sharing the stage with such greats as Excision, Bare Noize, Dieselboy, Lorn, Flux Pavilion, XXYYXX, John Wayne, & Andy C to name only a few. Fresh off a move from Montreal his legacy includes frequenting the Bass Drive stage at Le Belmont, alongside Vilify, co-hosting the popular forward thinking monthly event Heads Up, and guest hosting Jaime Le Dubstep radio on Dubstep.fm with Construct. As co-founder of such Halifax collectives like ‘Break Beat Elite’ and ‘The Halifield Movement’ his influence will be forever ingrained on the nightlife of both these cities.
