Born on the island of Newfoundland, Troy was passionate about electronica/dance music from a young age. He was first influenced by House/Techno artists such as Daft Punk, Dirty Vegas, & Mr. Oizo & the early works of Benny Benassi & Crookers. Their mix of melodic yet, dirty & deep sounds, intrigued Troy to find more unique artists and producers of this style. After changing residencies to art infused Halifax, Nova Scotia, he saw the potential of his preferred music genres and found more and more people were looking for that sound.
Troy has played at several local venues on the east coast in the past year. In late 2013, Troy opened for Juno Nominated and Halifax’s own, Ryan Hemsworth.
Power combines House/Tech House/Disco House/Techno/Deep Bass/Fidget/Wobble/Hip- Hop/Jersey Club/Future. His unique mix of smooth transitions, long builds, melodic breakdowns and heavy drops inspire his current works.
His sets are devoted to keeping the energy high on the dance floor for his friends and fans, while playing the dirty beats that he’s most passionate about. Not just a guy behind a laptop, but an experience.
