Forged in the fires of Mount Doom (aka Dartmouth), Lasersquad is the union of three producers/DJ’s with a shared dream: To make the craziest tunes, and play those tunes loud.
Made up of record label Lasersquid founding members JonBob, Dartmouthian and Acid Reflex, the Lasersquad experience is a multi-genre journey through breakbeats, bass, and all around trippy shit. Expect DNB, Psy, Garage, Acid Techno, Breaks, Hardcore and maybe some other stuff. Performing mostly original music with deep diggin for the rest, the crowd is sure to be blown away, even shell-shocked, by the music they never thought they’d hear. Individually the artists have performed all over Canada and have been releasing music on labels the world over. As part of the LaserSquid record label based out of Halifax they’ve been releasing music from artists both local and worldwide since 2010. JonBob and Acid Reflex’s set at last years Evolve kept the crowd hype til the generators died and the sun came up, with the addition of Dartmouthian to the lineup this year is sure to be the best yet!
