Beginning his journey in 1999, Adam Cuvilier came upon Edmonton’s electronic music scene when he moved there from Nova Scotia. Buying his first set of tables in 2003, Cuvy desired to become further involved and began throwing his own shows and playing clubs and events. Groovy Cuvy held down a weekly late night radio show called Smooth Radio at CJSR 88.5FM for over 5 years with co host Avrum Gold mixing live sets into the early morning. Groovy Cuvy has played raves, events and club nights all over Canada not to mention his five gig tour of Thailand in June of 2007.
Groovy Cuvy productions have seen him sign on with labels such as Money Shot, Pop and Lock, Sovereign House, Looking Glass, Audio Planet and Atomic Zoo with support from Lazy Rich, Myagi, DJ Preach and more. His mixes and productions have seen global exposure with plays on internet radio such as Digitally Imported FM and Proton Radio and well as FM plays the world over. He also got a mention in the Nov/09 edition of Computer Music Magazine.
Groovy Cuvy’s sound fuses techno, progressive and electro house influences and his dj sets are full of the same. His DVJ sets also have been taken to the next Level mixing visuals and audio to experience the ultimate party vibe. Taking over Level 2 Lounge at the end of 2007, it has been Groovy Cuvy’s mantra to provide clubbers with a superior clubbing experience with a quality music atmosphere in a comfortable environment with like minded individuals.
