Dave Allison

Montreal, Quebec

Dave Allison is a native Montrealer and long time purveyor of funky soulful music. While maintaining a passion for making people move on the dancefloor, Dave does not limit himself to one style, and is as much at home spinning a set of loungy jazz beats or Slo Mo Disco as he is rocking a party into a frenzy with funky house.

Dave founded Kinjo Music in 2006, with the intent to release only the highest quality , deep , funky, jazzy underground house music. The label has since been synonymous with the best in house, and is well established as a premier name in the deep & funky house scene.

As a producer, Dave has releases and remixes on: Maracuja, Editorial, Alphabet, Mile End, Patsada, Soul Shift, Homesick, Footwear , Highjack, Meltin Funk,Savant Guard, Warmth, Dirty Monkey, Headtunes,Dustpan, Sound Between Movement, and of course, Kinjo.

Showing his diversity, his efforts are also acknowledged with downtempo tunes that are the closing track on Mark Farina’s Mushroom Jazz # 6 and Mushroom Jazz 7 as well.

Dave is in high demand for guest mixes, and this past year has done shows for Slo-Mo Radio in Glasgow, Hidden Cove in San Fran, Kiss FM in Australia, ChicagoHouse FM in London, Hawt Radio in LA, and 5 Magazine in Chicago.
