The Real Jazz

Halifax, NS

The Real Jazz is a collective of Halifax DJ’s and musicians fusing pounding, rhythmic tribal and latin beats blended with live Saxophone, Congas, Guitar, Synth, Acapellas, and EFX. Beginning 3 years ago as a 2 DJ / 4 Turntable show featuring Cam Harding and Steve Nurse performing live mash-ups, sampling and EFX the goal always was to add more and more live elements to the DJ sets. The addition of live musicians to the mix quickly evolved into a full blown stage show.

Sean Weber and Jay Andrews joined the group early in 2009 and Adam Adler and Andy Patil soon followed suit and The Real Jazz was born.

Blasting festival crowds and club dance floors with an onslaught of tribal-latin rhythms and electro-funk grooves, with layered live elements and vocal samples from your favorite tracks, The Real Jazz brings a stage show of epic proportions.
