Cyn L & Opus

Moncton

Cyn L
Cyn L. has both played and organized shows at many venues and bars throughout the Maritimes, where she is one of the most well-known deejays/promoters in the region.

Her influences are her brother Kastion, Dale Mannette, David Anthony, Bad Brad Boogie, Marco Logik, Harmsworth, Vilify, Skog,  Sonny D,  Phenatik, Sebastien,  Soundsyster, Jules, Dobba and the rest of the East Coast Music Scene. She has played alongside of some of the world’s finest such as; Dj Irene, Dj Swamp, Myagi, Dj Dan, Rennie Pilgrem, Robb G, Vegas of Bad Company just to name a few…

She founded Sonic Funk Productions with Seb Perron (2001-2003), then ventured off on her own to own/operate Synister Sounds Productions (2003-2007), In 2003 she also brought the world class DMC Competition to New Brunswick for the first time ever. She was the resident at the Paramount Lounge (2002-2008) and did all the bookings for Saturday nights as well. She also ran Open Decks with Adam Gould and hosted it for 5 years (2003-2008), placed 2nd in DJ IDOL comp finals in Halifax at Reflections (2007) against HARMSWORTH, and currently holds 2 residencies. Just recently started a Saturday night weekly at Blondies with her longtime friend and tag team DJ partner Marco Logik.

Cyn L also does her part for a crew of talented hip hop artists and is the Canadian Rep for F word Records based out of Albany NYC. Cyn L has played all over the East Coast of Canada, the Evolve Festival 4 times, Colorado(2004) and Springfield Mass 2007 on St Patrick day. She says that what she loves most about DJ’ing is the feeling she gets when she’s playing for a crowd of people and they’re feeding off and loving her music. In 2008 Cyn L took a 2 year break from the music scene she loves so much because she needed to further her education. Focusing on her 2 beautiful children she raises on her own with the help of close family and friends she manages both the domesticated and nightlife.

Now back and more determined than ever, she has accomplished holding down a resident Friday and hosting a Saturday night weekly with the help of Marco Logik , RG aka Opus, and Nayles.

“And without the fans and music lovers who come out to our shows we would not be where we are at today,  and for this amazing opportunity and support I am forever grateful.”
– Cyn L

Opus
East Coast’s hidden talent, emerges, out from behind the shadows and into the spotlight: Deejay, producer, promoter, viralsounds.ca co-founder and all around talented musician, with 14 years of experience. There’s nothing Opus aka Ryan Greene can’t accomplish when it comes to the world of deejaying, technology and music production and there’s no stopping this new old school artist.

Promoting, throwing and playing shows in Moncton over the years, he will soon be making his debut across the East Coast in the new year. Then from there where ever his musical talent take him.

His sets on Soundcloud and viralsounds.ca are funky, fresh and he doesn’t limit himself to just one genre. It’s not hard to tell that he is a professional and technically one of the East Coast’s rising stars. As the first deejay for NB’s infamous “element control” in 1999-2001 he played a number of different hip-hop events with them at various venues throughout N.B.

For those who don’t know this Ryan is the founder/creator/online promoter of easterntables.com which was the first website of its kind in NB. It showcased, promoted and educated artists/music lovers about the electronic scene here in N.B and throughout the East Coast Scene from 2005-2008. At this time he also hosted a streaming radio station where Jay Hamilton and Sean Keating would play on a weekly basis.

Over the years, Ryan has said that some of his biggest influences were: Sonny D, Jay Vasseur, Dj Bolivia, Ian Shonoman, Matt Anaka, Cyn  L, Spinal, Plastikman, Daft Punk, Mike Oldfield, Leftfield, Paranerd and many more. His musical taste are vast and he never limits himself. With the technology the future has graced us with, he is always incorporating the latest decaying tools, effects and gear that makes him stand out and excel as an artist and that gives him his own unique twist.
