Jacksonstrut

Halifax, NS

Getting his start back in the after hour glory days of Club Red, Jacksonstrut has a love for music that is matched only by his passion for dancing. During a long musical revolution through many genres of house he has been bringing the groove, the swing, the soul, and the jack, to dance floors from Nova Scotia to Quebec since 2005. Closing clubs such as Reflections, The Palace, La Sonar, Sub Rosa, Oxygen, and many others over the years, Jacksonstrut combines high energy with seductive vocals, funky bass, pounding rhythms, and driving drums to create an intimate atmosphere all his own.

Known for his epic sunrise sets at Evolve, and his funky filtered after hours sets, Jacksonstrut can often be found dancing harder behind the decks than most of the crowd. His love of house music has been influenced over the years by artists such as The Greenskeepers, Moloko, Modjo, Armand Van Heldon, Cassius, Dj Dan, and Hatiras, as well as by local artists including Dale Mannette, Tommy Knuckles, Michelle Deveaux, and Rickey Reid.
