At the young age of 16 Cheech “ProjectCHEECH” Palmater began his journey into the world of DJing.
Being brought up by a father in a metal band, and an electro house DJ mother, he naturally found a home in heavy electronic music, namely, Drum and Bass.
At the age of 18, he competed in the Battle of the DJ’s, started his own drum and bass internet radio station, threw his own show’s as well as shared the stage with some of halifax’s local heros, Dj Dono, The Real Molloy, Moldylox, The Garburator, and KDZ.
Now 20, he has took the east coast by storm, winning Halifax’s Battle of the Djs, playing the east coasts biggest festivals, like Evolve, Rabbit Hole, and Antic, and has moved to Toronto to try and expand his musical endevours.
Specializing in liquid drum and bass, and dabbling into jump up, techstep and glitch hop, his signature high tempo, but still super mellow sound is unmistakable, and unforgettable.
