The Esquire Trio

 

Truro, NS

This groove trio is deeply inspired by the smooth sounds of blues, soul, jazz, & reggae. This Fredericton, NB musician is accompanied by the Latin styles of guitarist Camilo V. & percussionist Juan Morales. Together, they create a musical sound that is both emotionally significant and innately positive.

Seeking to express sound as emotion, the Esquire trio was formed in 2009 to enhance the range of music available to the listening audience. The solo acoustic album, ‘Gotta Start Somewhere’, was privately released in August 2010 in Fredericton. The trio has since embarked on a series of metamorphisms that has allowed reaching new heights, particularly with performing with some of the capital city’s best musicians.

Richard Gloade, Esq. is a First Nations songwriter originally from Millbrook, NS, who specializes in bass & guitar and vocals, and is host of a weekly open mic night. Camilo V. (Columbia, SA) is a rock/reggae guitarist and an independent songwriter, and Juan Morales (El Salvador, SA) is a Latin based percussive conga player.
