Jinx the Cat has been helping change the East Coast music scene since their very first show in April of 2011. Their live performance speaks for itself. With a giant groove and smooth styling of Jazz, they create a Fusion of Jazz/Funk that has not had much of a voice before on the East Coast.
They hit the Festival circuit in the Maritime’s hard, playing at almost 10 festivals each summer since they have started as a band including Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival, Evolve, Folly Fest, Halifax Urban Folk Festival, The Sun Seekers Ball and many of the other great smaller festivals on the east coast. They have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with such great acts as Zach Deputy, The Jimmy Swift Band, Slowcoaster, and Grand Theft Bus.
Jinx the Cat has released one studio album in the year 2012 and has entered the studio a few times since to work on new music. They have a multitude of live recordings and are seasoned professionals when it comes to improvising live. You can be sure that each live performance and each song will never be the same twice. If you like to dance and watch a few guys create something magical in front of you… Jinx the Cat is the show for you !
