Halifax based producer, label head, DJ, graphic designer and photographer, JonBob aka Jonathan Bobryk has immersed himself completely in the various creative elements that drive the electronic music scene. His unique sound combines uplifting catchy melodies, complex breakbeats and funky halftime breakdowns to create an entirely new twist on electronic dance music. His career has seen him perform coast to coast across Canada, Victoria to Fredericton to Charlottetown, with multiple gigs in Toronto and Montreal. His live sets are composed of 100% original productions, and increasingly incorporate live vocals as an element. After co-founding Halifax based record label LaserSquid Music in 2010 with the mission to develop and promote emerging talent in the maritime region, management of the label has fallen to him and has seen him organize releases featuring over 30 artists, including Sounds Of Future Forest 2015 which saw Pineo & Loeb’s track “Soul Clap” go on to win dance recording of the year at the ECMA’s.

Since 2005 he has released music on the following labels; Digital Vomit (UK), Sociopath Recordings (Taiwan), Here’s My Card Records (CA), Bugs Crawling Out Of People (CA), Severed Digit (CA), DTRASH (CA), and LaserSquid Music.
