Orion PD

Under the leadership of creative director Ryan O’Neill, Orion PD has become the first choice for east coast festival organizers and event promoters alike, seeking to push their events to the next level. After gaining inspiration and skills from four years of interdisciplinary study at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and over fifteen years of professional experience in various roles in broadcast television and other live events (from carpenter to camera op), Ryan has developed a very unique skill set and eye for design. His stage and set creations not only stand up to a rigorous party atmosphere, but really transform the experience of the festival/event goer. You have seen his recent work if you attended the Evolve Music festival in either 2014 or 2015 (Synergy Stage and environment), or the much hyped Future Forest Music Festival (Prism and Mushroom Forest stages) in New Brunswick in either 2014 or 2015, or any of many nights at Reflections Bar, Company House, or The Marquee/Seahorse in Downtown Halifax. As a production designer, Ryan uses all his skills to not only build a custom and unique stage for your DJ or band, but to transform the entire room or field if needed, to create the atmosphere the client is looking for. Combining the latest in video projection mapping, LED technology, and good old fashioned set building techniques, OPD’s set/stage design is second to none on the east coast of Canada within the electronic music community and beyond.
