Lineup 2019
Zuffalo
Toronto, ON
Zuffalo is a Canadian funk-rock-jam band based in Toronto. The band is comprised of Mikey Vukovich (bass/vocals), Kim Manning (keys/vocals), Sean Steele (guitar/vocals), Adam Bernstein (drums).
Formed in 2016, Zuffalo has come far in a short time. They released their first music video for original song “Saskatchewan” in early 2017, and performed at festivals and concerts throughout that summer including: Orangeville Blues Festival, Funk Fest, and Summer Jam Music Festival, and shared the stage at local venue, The Mod Club, with The Soul Motivators and KC Roberts. In 2018 they performed at Kaslo Jazz Etc Summer Music Festival alongside performers Fat Cats, Mavis Staples, Greensky Bluegrass, Shakey Graves, and Buffy Sainte Marie.
Zuffalo’s music ranges from funky grooves to rootsy singalongs to soaring epics with monstrous riffs. Inspired by genre-blending bands like The Allman Brothers, Cream, The Beatles, and Wilco, their music combines strong song-writing with improvisational pieces.
The band released their debut album on June 15th 2018 which was recorded live off the floor in a barn at Locust Ridge Records (produced by Mackenzie Jordan, mastered by Philip Shaw Bova). They are currently headed to the studio to record the next single: “Space”, and plan to record their next full-length album later this summer.
