Cam BCN is a veteran behind the decks for over 15 years, beginning his musical career in the magical city of Montreal in 1997. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Armand Van Helden, Daft Punk, A-Trak, Mark Farina, Jazzy Jeff, DJ Dan, and DJ Sneak… A standard evening for Cam will begin in one of Montreal or Miami’s finest supper clubs or hippest restaurants, playing Jazz, Downbeats, Reggae, Intelligent Hip Hop, Funk, Deep-Disco, and Deep Funky House with a Sax and Conga player.

Late night will see Cam step onto the main stage or main room of a large nightclub, where he proceeds to thump the dance floor with big room Latin-Electro-Tech-House-Funk!  Thrashing the dance floor with a frenzy of scratching, live looping, live sampling, acapellas, live mash-ups, and precision efx.

And DJ’ing is only the beginning of Cam’s musical repertoire.  He is a seasoned studio engineer and producer with many releases under his belt on some of the world’s most respected House Music Labels working with his production partner and DJ/Live performance Juggernaut Adam Adler (as the pair they combine as the House Music Flame-throwing Production Duo “Metro Housing Authority”). MHA is currently signed to Kinjo Music (Montreal), Footwear (Montreal), Smoke City Music (NYC), Lingo Records (Cincinnati, OH), Deep Hype Sounds (Chicago), Zoot Suite (Portland, OR), and hold residencies in NYC, Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, Halifax, The Evolve Festival, ChicagoHouseFM.co.uk, and at the annual Winter Music Conference in Miami among many others.

As the art of DJ’ing slips toward the “press play” culture of jukebox DJ’s who stand expressionless as they stare blankly into a laptop screen, Cam Bcn is a very refreshing opposing force to this trend.  He and his crew of musicians, DJ’s, and producers have banned together to turn the tides and return the art of DJ’ing to its rightful place atop the cultural and musical landscape.  If you don’t respect what DJ’s do or have doubts about what type of skill is involved to truly rock a crowd properly, wait until you see Cam Bcn behind a set of turntables.  Prepare to be knocked off your seat, and onto the dance floor.  Guaranteed.
