Lyra has been djing for 5 years and going strong! As a fanatic of music for years previous, Lyra has maintained a solid collection of danceworthy tracks that pertain to all music lovers. Having a background in playing instruments, singing and competing, it was only a matter of time before she conquered the djing aspect of her love of music.
Through dark chuggy basslines to delightful quirky kick drums, whirring electro-fused melodies to techno dreams, soft and sultry tech house to heartracing rumbles of the dub, and various obscure yet smart phrased vocals, she will continuously please and throw down an amazing mix and keep the dancing strong.
She has played beside some of the best djs in the Maritimes, has opened up for DJ Rap in 2009, and is also 50% of the tech house duo Tektric with Justincredible. DJ Lyra also had a mix featured on Scion AV’s ‘Wave of the Future’ radioshow hosted by Monty Luke from Black Catalogue and Planet E Communications in 2012. Lyra has many collaborations and mixes on the go this year with some local dj faves and has collaborated with the likes of Underdog Productions, Evolve Festival, Sunseekers Ball Music & Arts Festival, M.O.M. Festival, Future Productions, Zoo Crew Productions, 4 Tha ♥ of House, Bass Bias Productions, and Classics to name a few, as well as promoting her own big DJ birthday shows each year, Lyra will definitely satisfy your craving for good music and a good dance.
