Robert Mathews (aka. DJ DOBBA) has become a force on the Electro-House circuit in Atlantic Canada bringing his own cutting-edge style of funky-electro and fidget-house to the stage at big show after big show.
His bass-heavy, bouncing electro-house style has been in great demand due to the profound effect it has on everyone who hears it. You just can’t help but shake your ass, it is impossible not to! Men, women, boys, girls…dogs, and cats all get up off their seats when Dobba’s sound hits the speakers.
From a young age, music has had a strong influence on Rob, and in 2003 he bought a pair Tech 12’s and naturally picked up DJ’ing, quickly improving with support from the local Halifax DJ community. Soon he was gigging regularly, and soon after that he was stealing the spotlight with his untouchable underground sound.
Dobba keeps his sets fresh and his fans on their toes by always bringing the newest music to the dance floor. Relentlessly searching for the newest, hottest tracks, Rob is a trend-setter and a dance floor shredder.
